In April 2019, GreenBlue Urban were pleased to provide onsite support in the installation of their ArborFlow SuDS Tree pit in Katelijnevest in the City of Bruges to accommodate the planting of a young Tilia Lime tree.
The ArborFlow tree pit was chosen as a means of handling surface water run-off from a sloping walk way. ArborFlow is used when space is at a premium and designed to allow ground infiltration into an open cell storage system (RootSpace) whilst giving the new tree plenty of space for its roots to grow in uncompacted and aerated soil.
This sustainable tree pit is a pilot project as part of the WRC project carried out by the city of Bruges.
